Robert Kyr is a prolific and in my opinion ridiculously talented American composer. His music is accessible, more often than not lyrical, and simply lovely. He is best known for his choral music (the two major works here are cantatas) however this is I believe largely due to the fact that his orchestral and instrumental music is (bafflingly!?!) barely recorded thus far. There are a few discs available, and they are impressive. One such gem will be my next post in fact...a knockout in my opinion.
I am including the booklet notes so as far as time is concerned - thankfully I can let the pages do the "talking".
Enjoy!

Cjv, another triumph on my end :D It's beautiful music, although not Kyr's most distinctive imo. Either way being the composer that Kyr is, this is a fantastic listen every time!
