Classic recording from the Musical Heritage Society.
There will be a ton of Lou Harrison posts in the near future. Enjoy
*I'm aware that track No.1 is garbled; when I locate the disc I will re-up
the track(I imported it years ago). Sorry Everyone.

Thank you for this, but the first track is not working!
Odd, I just checked it out and it's fine for me, vlc, itunes, mplayer.. I will see about converting the first track
thanks for all the lou harrison works, Tzadik!
as anon above commented, track #1 on this album seems to be corrupted, all other tracks are playing fine.
cheers,
lucky
Hey Lucky you are very welcome :) I have a lot of Harrison to post. I will work on the 1st track, thanks for confirming what the anon poster said. works for me but I dunnoo.. Thanks for commenting and best regards
Well the 1st track is garbled it seems; for me it plays 4 mins fine and then it's screwy. I will upload the 1st track when I can, I had imported this cd a few years ago and thus I have to locate the actual cd. Sorry everyone
yes, same here - tried it with several programs, no luck.
don't hurry, tzadik, i have time. since you're already in the process of re-ripping - do you mind doing it in a higher bitrate? just an idea - no problem with vbr224-256.
lucky :)
Yep I have meant to do 320 all along but didn't realize that iTunes had been set somehow back at 256. m4a is better than mp3 however I still meant to do 320 and shall from now on. -Regards
Hey Lucky, thanks a lot! I dunno how you tracked it down, I did try to find the track online but with no luck (except buying it, silly since I do have the cd somewhere). You have done a great service indeed for all visitors to this page :) And btw I am still going to re-up the whole disc @ 320-but alas I have many crates and places to go through first! -Kind regards
Mr. Luck I'll check them out later, surprised I don't know them. Some of the best "mp3 search" sites
have disappeared over the last couple years, I usually use them for really esoteric electronic music or other things. I'm starting to think that they're all coming from some Russian guy's basement, with 1000 servers ha.. Occasionally I can find a real gem, "classical" that is, but typically it's an incomplete work or dismal quality. 192 is def acceptable. Thanks
these 2 are rather like a blog or a forum, rather than search engines - you only find what people there upload, which of course might be stuff snatched from elsewhere. but i found many things uniquely there.
for me less than 192 is rather poor. 192 is acceptable, if the music is not too subtle or silent. but lossless of course is a nice way of listening to great music.
googles's blogsearch recently have been switched off - i used it since 2006 and found great stuff there... gone. so it goes.
lucky
Greetings Luck
Yes I meant places that contain the music, not just a "search" engine. And forums do still exist, but it's hard to find them often. I know of some that are good but the bookmarks I haven't transferred from an old mac. I post what I have bought for myself, unfortunately 99% of this is on cds. Lossless files are clearly better, and as an audiophile I'd love to only use them but mp3s are easier and my Bose computer speakers are not that special. What I need is to buy proper components, gets very $$$ though.
