Jørgen Jersild: Chamber Music - Quartetto per Archi - Music-Making in the Forest: Serenade for Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon & Horn - Trois pieces en concert for Piano - Quartet for Violin, Viola, Clarinet & Bassoon - Ensemble MidtVest - Dacapo 2013

Here is another unheard/unopened offering for everyone before I run to work; it is chamber music by Jørgen Jersild (1913-2004), a Danish composer who I know nothing about. When I heard the brief samples they piqued my interest-especially the sounds of the woodwind quintet/'serenade' "Music-Making in the Forest". I have to admit that the name of the quintet was enchanting to me, a superficial reason to explore further perhaps but I couldn't help it!

Hopefully we shall all enjoy..

Chamber music not a favourite, but this I'll happily try; thank you !

Cjv I'm not sure that you will be too thrilled with this one. This isn't the easiest of music, especially for someone who doesn't normally gravitate to chamber works. Perhaps you will find something in the Wind Quintet?

Best,

Put on the Jersild while downloading Lokshin - it's actually very pleasant; don't need 'easy', just interesting !

Cjv, sorry I was thinking of someone else who visits who might have found this music a bit difficult-my mistake! Happy you have enjoyed it..
