In honor of Adolphe Sax (born on this day in 1814) I'm posting this exquisite disc as it has
a most wonderful recording of the "Rapsodie" (for Alto Saxophone and Orchestra). I don't have the
energy to try to find any of my all saxophone discs, thus a great excuse to upload one of the most gorgeous and flawless Debussy recordings around (The entire Debussy series with Yan Pascal Tortelier and the Ulster Orchestra is treasure, really it doesn't get much better than this!). These are still my favorite versions (historic recordings aside) of each of these works after all these years. Enjoy...
The back cover and pdf file I'm including comes from a re-issue of the original disc that I have, Chandos repackaged this disc as part of the "Enchant" series, seven years after the first pressing.

Hi, you must be freezing in San Fran right now; I have been there during the summer and I was the only person wearing shorts! Happy you enjoy the Debussy!
