Happy Birthday, George Crumb (yes, I'm a few days late)
Ok I forgot that George Crumb's birthday was on October 24th; I trust that you, the visitors and George Crumb himself, will forgive me ;) Crumb is now 85 years old.
Ha, well yes that would be a good idea; although this photo is likely not that many years old! (perhaps he's more of a "composing smoker", like Shostakovich; if you notice, Shostakovich always has a cig dangling from his mouth when at the piano or sitting with a score...)
