Arnold Rosner - Nicolas Flagello - Symphonies for Winds

Firstly I'd like to thank everyone again for the recent kind feedback. It truly is appreciated and needless to say makes me want to post more. This disc features Symphonies for Winds, Flagello's Symphony No.2 and Rosner's Symphony No.8. The Rosner symphony was a request about a month
ago. I'll let the music speak for itself. Enjoy!

nhac, yes Rosner is one of my favorite composers-in my top 5 (maybe top 3!!). Also he was my close friend, a kind, beautiful and brilliant person. I miss him dearly, he died too young, still in his 60s..

I am delighted with your blog, just always find it awkward how to send Kudos, some blogs don't appear even to have a way to contact them, so I am sorry I didn't say thanks for the things I took, especially Rosner, the obscure Laurel record was a goldmine to me. Thanks

Hey Matt happy to hear you really like the blog; that's what makes it worth it for me, to take time to share. Some blogs are odd like that, I have tried to comment several times on certain blogs (I always comment wherever I visit, just my style I guess) but the comments never post. It's weird. Sometimes I even see other comments, but still mine do not show up.
The Rosner disc on Laurel is very important to me, happy it's a goldmine for you too! -Regards

Thank you so much for this post and your excellent blog.

I had been looking forward to hearing this disc ever since reading Walter Simmon's article about how it came about in Fanfare magazine.

Hi nzguy, you are quite welcome, thanks for your words. Yes, Walter Simmons is a "Flagello freak" and happily was also a friend of Rosner (although I can tell you Arnold was not always 100% pleased with Simmons's reviews over the years..!) -Regards

I've search the history of your uploads and I found a lot of interesting posts. It will take some time to download all and even more time hear all.
I send you my regards with best wishes for 2015

I have just stumbled onto Arnold Rosner's music. Amazing! Would it be possible for you to reupload some of the the Rosner CD's you've previously posted?

edjewa,

Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm and expressing an interest in Rosner's music - it is amazing indeed! I would be happy to re-up the Rosner discs; I believe the first couple of discs (which are for me his finest) I inadvertently ripped @ 256 kbps, and I have been thinking for quite some time about reposting them at 320 or lossless anyway.

I will try to get around to it later (Saturday afternoon if possible).
